After obtaining his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and medical degree from St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies, Dr. Mahmood completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in pulmonary diseases at St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, NJ, followed by a critical care medicine fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY.
Dr. Mahmood prioritizes personalized and up-to-date care for each patient and works closely with other physicians for a seamless and effective care plan.
In addition to his role at North Jersey Pulmonary Associates, Dr. Mahmood serves as an adjunct clinical assistant professor of medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, an associate professor of medicine at St. George's University School of Medicine, and an assistant professor of medicine at Seton Hall-Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. He is also a core teaching faculty member for internal medicine residents in the New York Medical College program at St. Mary's General Hospital & St. Clare's Hospital.
Recently, Dr. Mahmood was appointed as the Chair of Medicine at St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ and also serves as the medical director for Kindred East Hospital in Passaic, NJ.
His practice, North Jersey Pulmonary Associates has opened a new office in Clifton, NJ at 1100 Clifton Avenue, Suite 1B.
